Disney buys iPhone iPad game maker

Walt Disney Co said on Thursday that it has acquired startup iPhone app developer Tapulous. With this Disney has further pushed itself into mobile games.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Tapulous (a profitable start-up with $ 1 million sales a month as of Dec 2009) is the maker of the music game "Tap Tap Revenue," which was one of the early hits on Apple's iPhone, says it has more than 35 million users, and "Tap Tap Revenge" has been played more than 1 billion times.

The company also makes games for the Apple iPad. --------
