Kingston launches Hyper Max 3.0 : A USB 3 External SSD Hard Drive

Kingston has just launched its new Hyper Max 3.0 external SSDs.

HyperX External USB 3.0 SSDs(Solid State Drives) that impressed many, even in its early stages of development back in June this year; is finished now and is ready to ship in December. Simply great news for anyone who is packing a super PC right now, as not only SATA they are happily SATA too . With no exception, HyperX External USB 3.0 SSDs should appear in his pc plans.

1) Speed of up to 195MB/sec, when paired with a USB 3.0 compatible device (you can transfer 50 GB of data in 4.2 minutes!)

2) Write speed of up to 160MB/sec, when paired with a USB 3.0 compatible device

3) Fully compatible with USB 2.0 devices, but the speed defaults back to USB 2.0 capability(So those with existing PCs or devices with USB 2s can also buy, but only when they need an external drive urgently and have plans to go for USB 3 device in future)

Some Facts To motivate you to go for the Buy: During Kingston's internal testing, a 10GB movie file was transferred in 1 minute, 12 seconds to the HyperX MAX 3.0 from a USB 3.0 system. On a USB 2.0 port on the same system, however, the transfer time increased to 5 minutes, 52 seconds.

Price and Capacity: HyperX MAX 3.0 is available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities at $222, $365, and $743, respectively. --------
