Japanese launch date for Nintendo 3DS and opening game line-up revealed

It’s official news now, Nintendo has revealed the Japanese launch date for its forthcoming 3DShandheld games console, which provides a stereoscopic 3D effect without the need for special glasses. The Nintendo 3DS console will hit Japan on February 26 with some opening titles, including Super Street Fighter IV and Ridge Racer 3D.

Here are the titles:

Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D
Nintendogs and Cats
Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle
Puzzle Bobble 3D
Samurai Warriors: Chronicle
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
Ridge Racer 3D
Winning Eleven Soccer 3D

In Japan the console will sell at ¥25,000 – just over £190 or USD 295.

The Nintendo 3DS will debut in US and Europe in March. Clear dates in this regard are expected to be disclosed at a press event in Amsterdam on February 19. --------
