How effective are Sponsored Tweets: April 2011

This will be a great news for businesses who are contemplating to advertise on Twitter.

According to Adam Bain, Twitter’s President of Revenue, who spoke at the Ad Age Digital Conference this week , Sponsored Tweets re very effective – where 67 percent of Twitter users said they would be more likely to make a purchase from a ST. In contrast only 51 percent of Facebook users said they will be buying something on their friends’ recommendation.

As per Bain, this may be due to the fact that 40 percent of Twitter users follow at least one brand’s account, making them more receptive to interactions with advertisers. --------
